Greystones has been graded four stars by enjoyEngland. Greystones is approximately 700 metres from Rochester Castle Cathedral and high street with its large number of pubs and restaurants. We are thus in an excellent location for the various festivals that take place in and around Rochester and Chatham throughout the year (Sweeps Dickens the summer concerts at Rochester and Leeds Castles Navy Days etc.).
You can be at Upnor Castle within about 15 minutes and Leeds Castle (considered by many to be the loveliest castle in the world see www.leeds-castle.com) in about 25 minutes. The comfortable rooms most have at least a toilet washbasin television free wifi and an Ethernet connection to allow access to the Internet via a shared broadband connection (there is also a PC available in a public area allowing internet access).
We are within three or four minutes walk of a number of local pubs (one of which is believed to be the oldest pub in Kent!) many of which have real ale on a hand-pump. The high street has many kinds of restaurants and more pubs where you can be sure of finding a meal to satisfy most peoples taste. We are approximately 12 minutes walk from Rochester Station were you can catch a train to or from London Victoria Charing Cross Canterbury or Dover.
We have easy access to or from the M2 M20 and M25 Motorways making us a good stopping off point for travelling to/from the continent (Folkestone is just under an hour away). There are a number of municipal sports centres nearby offering Swimming Badminton Squash etc. as well as a number of public golf courses. For walkers Rochester makes a good starting finishing or stopping off point for walking the North Downs Way.
