My name is Charlotte and I am 'Minster Childminder' an Ofsted registered childminder, I live with my husband Andy and our son. I provide a fun, friendly and safe environment, where children are able to learn through play and every day experiences. Our living room is the main indoor play area, children have access to a wide variety of activities and toys; there are also quiet areas for sleeping and well maintained child friendly enclosed garden with a range of outdoor toys. We have tropical fish. When I am caring for children we attend local toddler groups and activity sessions at the children centre. We go out to the beach and to the local park. I am a member of the National Childminding association and I regularly attend the local childminding group. I am happy to provide support with homework.

In my Ofsted inspection dated 30th November 2010 I received an overall grade of Good. My inspection judgements show how well children are:

Helped to develop skills that will contribute to their future economic wellbeing: Good

I welcome ideas and encourage parents to provide me with comments and suggestions in their child’s contact books or when they have time to talk; I believe that working with parents is essential for the child’s well being.

My Qualifications
Passed Unit 1 of CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Home based Childcare; this covers the following topics: 'Working in Partnership with Parents', 'Meeting Children’s Individual Needs in a Home based Setting' and 'Childcare and Child Development in the Home based Setting’

2 day Paediatric First Aid training

BA (Hons) Mathematics and Business studies

My Availability
My hours are 6am to 8pm but I may be able to accommodate hours outside of these. I currently have vacancies for full-time, part-time and ad hoc days.

I am 5 minutes walk from St George’s C of E Primary School; I am happy to collect from there and local playgroups.

My Fees
Monday to Friday, 8am - 6pm: £3.50 per hour
Unsociable hours, 6am - 8am and 6pm - 8pm: £4.00 per hour
After school only care: £4.00 per hour.
(All charges are inclusive of all meals, snacks, drinks and toddler groups. 10% discounts for oldest sibling or full time (+35hrs) places)
