Within walking distance are plenty of bars restaurants and caf?s as well as the Stephen Joseph Theatre home to most of Alan Ayckbourn s World premieres. It holds fantastic plays and shows all year round. Scarborough is a traditional seaside resort that boasts two bays with the castle standing proud on the headland separating the bays.

The return walk along Marine Drive is over 3 miles long and nice and flat. South Bay is the livelier of the two bays with donkey rides amusements and shops whereas the North Bay is quieter with the Sea Life Centre and Peasholm Park at the end of the bay. Both have lovely large sandy beaches. There s also a fantastic waterpark with exciting slides wave pools and an infinity pool.



The Cleveland Way all 109 miles of it goes along the front of Scarborough and onto the clifftops. You will see many a weary walker heading down on the last stretch towards Filey. This is also a stretch of the walk that is well worth doing during your stay with rugged clifftops and spectacular views bringing you to the quaint seaside town of Filey. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton Cliffs is just a short drive away. Here you will see thousands of seabirds.
