Glencree House B&B in Penzance stands on the shores of Mount s Bay Cornwall s largest bay located at the far west of Britain s south-west peninsula. With spectacular views of St Michael s Mount and the Lizard Peninsula great road & public transport links and the mildest climate in mainland Britain it is ideally situated for those wishing to explore West Cornwall at any time of year and it is perfect for walkers birders or those just wanting to relax and unwind from the stress of life. Our guesthouse accommodation in Cornwall has 7 bright spacious guest bedrooms which have been recently refurbished to highlight their light and airy aspects. They are configured as a mixture of single twin family and double rooms one with a four-poster bed and some with sea views. All rooms are en-suite or have a private bathroom and all are equipped with free unlimited Wi-Fi broadband internet access TV and DVD player DAB clock radio with iPod docking station hairdryer tea & coffee making facilities with a selection of organic and Fairtrade teas infusions and hot chocolate from Clipper Tea and coffee from The Little Coffee Bag Company. Your complimentary toiletries from Pure Nuff Stuff are a high quality natural soap shampoo and shower gel handmade in the Egyptian House on Chapel Street in Penzance using traditional methods and natural ingredients sourced as locally as possible. The breakfast room with its original Victorian paneled bay window contains a comfortable seating area where you can browse through our collection of local information or relax in front of the wood burning stove with a magazine or book from our library. A selection of board games and DVD s are also available to borrow. We welcome guests with children (a travel cot is available on request) and members of the LGBT community. We are happy to suggest pet friendly B&Bs or hotels in Penzance as we no longer accept bookings with dogs (guide dogs excepted) due to allergies in our family. For walk in guests we have a room to dry wet weather gear and cyclists can store their bikes in the secure covered area in our back yard. Head for the historic market town of Marazion Newlyn fishing port (the largest fishing port in Cornwall) Mousehole (pronounced Mowzul) or Sennen Cove. Experience one of the performances at the Minack Open Air Theatre visit Cape Cornwall and the adjacent ancient tin mines. For art enthusiasts a visit to the Tate Gallery in St. Ives is a must. The newly refurbished and extended Penlee House Gallery and Museum just 5 minutes walk away in Penzance with its priceless collection of Newlyn School artists provides many treasures not to be missed. If you prefer the less-visited coves try Porthgwarra Mullion Cove Kynance Cove and many others all within easy driving distance. For those of you who don t want to get in your car Penzance beach is only 50 metres away. You may also like to attend one of the many festivals and other cultural events held in Cornwall each year particularly the Golowan midsummer festival in Penzance or the Montol midwinter arts festival in Penzance.
