Dinner, Lunch Description
A delightful country style pub with parts ageing back to the 18th century, offering well kept real ales from Wadworth and two real fires cast an inviting glow over the various dining areas, with a dedicated children's room next to the garden with toys, games, books and easy access to the play area.
We welcome friendly dogs on leads and well behaved younger diners, half portions are available on request. There are board games available in the lower bar, and darts available from the bar.
We offer a fully homecooked menu using local produce with full table service whether you choose to dine in the restaurant or in the lower rooms. We offer a special lunch menu, with sandwiches (week days only), pub classics and a selection of our new dishes. Monday- Saturday evenings we offer our fabulous new menu with dishes such as 24 hour slow roasted pork belly, creamy mashed potato, purple sprouting broccoli, Wadworth ale and apple sauce and our duck breast, sping onion mashed potato, hoisin sauce and Savoy cabbage to name but a couple.
Special evenings include our monthly pub quiz, every last Tuesday, band nights, the annual StarFest and our book club.
With plenty of beautiful walks in the local area, and a large car park, we are the perfect place to meet and warm up after a brisk stroll this lovely village. Also ideal for quick business lunches (our menus are available to pre-order online to speed things up), or formal / informal occasions.
