The Black Horse Hotel is a family-run hotel centrally situated in Queen Street Newton Stewart the Gateway to the Galloway Hills.
Newton Stewart and the surrounding area is rich in history and archaeology and has often been described as Scotland in miniature with its rugged mountains rolling countryside coastal cliffs and secluded beaches and bays.
It s the perfect base from which to explore this wonderful area. The town is on the edge of the magnificent Galloway Forest Park with the world-famous 7Stanes mountain biking trails and there s plenty of excellent fishing on the rivers Cree (which runs through Newton Stewart) the Bladnoch and the Tarff rivers.There are also 32 golf courses in Galloway.
