Shark Club Gastro Bar is making a splash in Newcastle, as the award-winning chain from Western Canada opens up its first European venue in the city. Situated in a central location, opposite Newcastle United’s St James’ Park, the gastro bar occupies the ground floor of the new four-star Sandman Signature Hotel. The bar serves up Canadian hospitality and unlike other venues, provides diners and drinkers with table side service. The menu fuses together a mix of Asian, Italian and Mid–West Canadian food with signature dishes including Ahi Tuna Tacos, Chicken and Brie Sliders and the mighty Shark Platter. The extensive drinks list offers a range of specialist cocktails, premium spirits, wine and beers. With over 40 flat screen TVs and a 3D wall screen, the bar is the next best thing to being at the game. Shark Club also has a large dance floor, private function and VIP rooms and a heated outside terrace.
