Castle Levan is a small unique-stay bed and breakfast located only 20 miles from Glasgow International Airport (70 miles from Edinburgh Airport) on Scotland s beautiful West coast. Our castle is a fun place to stay!
We have a castle ghost hidden turnpike staircases between the rooms arrow slit windows parapet walkways turrets and 4 foot thick walls.
With only three guest bedchambers we pay attention to detail to make your stay a memorable one.
Castle Levan is located just outside the sailing and ferry port town of Gourock on the Firth of Clyde gateway to the west coast and isles of Scotland. The castle lies in a 21st century neighbourhood but once you walk through the stone arch entrance into the castle s courtyard you are transported back to the 15th century!
CastleLevan was built circa 1457 and is a listed building with Historic Scotland. It is a unique chance for you to stay in a real castle!
Please note access to castle requires use of stairs. A spiral staircase links all the rooms inside castle and an external staircase leads into the castle.
Unfortunately we do not allow children under the age of 12 at the castle.
Please note we do not serve evening meals. There are many local restaurants and pubs near the castle. We do not serve alcohol or have a bar however guests may bring their own into the bed and breakfast and we provide wine glasses in the rooms.
Smoking in the castle and on the battlements is strictly prohibited. Smokers may smoke in the castle courtyard. A fine for smoking within the castle will be applied if this policy is contravened.
