The Old Royal Oak is definitely worth a visit located in Knaresborough s famous Market Square the pub dates back to the 18th century and has a real oldy worldy feel to it it s even got it s very own Priest Hole .
Around the Market Square and high street are lots of little shops and galleries. If you visit on a Wednesday you can enjoy the colourful market. Knaresborough castle is a must see with commanding views over the town and River Nidd.
Food is served every lunch time. We serve traditional home made wholesome pub food. There is also an array of alternative restaurants within the area.
Major Road Connections - the A59 runs through Knaresborough. To the east it connects with the A1(M) - a major north-south route - and then goes on to York. West it passes through Harrogate before reaching Skipton connecting with roads to the Yorkshire Dales Lancashire and the Lake District.
Airport - the nearest international airport is Leeds-Bradford approximately 10 miles away easily reached by road.
