Located on the corner of Whitecross Street Preston Lane and Caistor Road opposite to Baysgarth Park it stands on the site of Bardney Abbey Rectory the Lincolnshire monastery owning much of Barton during the middle ages and reputed to have a secret passage to Thornton Abbey (although we have never found it).

The Hall has many fine architectural features which reflect the town s growing prosperity during the 18th Century.
