Haddington is an old Traditional Market Town steeped in history and dates back to circa 600 AD. There are many historical Buildings and places of interest to visit both within the Town and around the County (Haddingtonshire was the old name of the county before it was renamed East Lothian) We have taken the opportunity to highlight some of these historical events in our Guests Information Book within the Bedrooms. The Golf Tavern lies within the old Barony of Nungate which has now become an integral part of Haddington.
