The Hardwick has become a serious gastranomic destination since beginning life as a country pub in the 1800 s. Winning Best Gastropub in the Uk 2010/2011 in the National Restaurant Awards as well as AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales. The evolution has been completed with eight luxury rooms extended bar and further dining facilities. Since 2005 the Hardwick has been owned and run by Stephen Terry an acclaimed chef with an international reputation and his wife Joanna. The bar is now a perfect place to meet friends for a beer enjoy an aperitif before your meal or relax with after-dinner coffee. The varied drinks menu includes the best beers and spirits from South Wales as well as an international wine list ranging from the modest to the magnificent. To pass the time there is a selection of foodie literarture and board games. We believe that our restaurant should be a comfortable relaxing and unpretentious space. The restaurant is welcoming and unfussy with the emphasis on friendly and efficient service in an informal atmosphere. Our rooms echo the philosophy of the restaurant and kitchen.
