The Glen Hotel in Selkirk is a picturesque hotel of Victorian roots within the Scottish Borders and an ideal location for golfing fishing or simply leisurely breaks. It is a world away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre yet only an hour from Edinburgh.
Golfers and anglers are well catered for at The Glen Hotel where we stand overlooking the River Ettrick which is most convenient for avid anglers as well as just a stone s throw from the Tweed.
Golfers can choose from 21 super courses nearby most of which are within 30 minutes drive from our hotel. Golfers staying at The Glen Hotel can also benefit from discounted green fees with Visit Scotland s Freedom of the Fairways voucher scheme.
As well as fishing and golfing breaks it is an ideal location for exploring other towns and villages of the Scottish Borders with Galashiels and Melrose just a short drive away.
After 14 years of running the hotel full on we have taken the decision to reduce our Evening Meals service and from October 1st 2018 we will offer
Monday to Thursday - An evening meal based on a single Dish of the Day as well as two alternative options. This will be served at 6:30pm only.
Friday to Sunday - We will not be providing an Evening Meal.
We are still able to offer a full menu evening meal service for groups of 10 with prior agreement.
