Retaining some original features and overlooking the glorious 1-acre garden which guests are free to enjoy. It makes an ideal base from which to explore the local area which offers a mix of town and country.

Visit Canterbury and the beautiful cathedral which dates back to 11th century as well as other hidden gems which can be explored by taking a boat trip on the River Stour. Tenterden The Jewel of the Weald is a pretty town to visit - steam along on the Kent and East Sussex Railway try some award-winning wines at some vineyards see the gardens at Godinton House and Sissinghurst or take a balloon flight at Leeds Castle.

Walkers can enjoy the North Downs and Pilgrims Way peppered with nature reserves and packed with Kentish apple pear and cherry orchards. Retail therapy is close by at the McArthur Glenn shopping outlet where you can catch a designer bargain. There are good rail links to London 38 minutes or travel to Paris or Brussels which is less than a 2-hour train ride away - don t forget your passport! Golf available locally. Beach 15 miles. Shop pub and restaurant 1/2 mile.
