Housed in a gracious Victorian villa The Meadfoot Bay has recently undergone a major refurbishment programme of all bedrooms and public areas. Unusually for a B&B of this size The Meadfoot Bay boasts two spacious lounges in addition to a bar large dining room and two outdoor terraces. The emphasis here is to provide guests with a comfortable relaxed atmosphere. A place where you can kick off your shoes and feel like you re in a home from home but equally one that is stylish enough to make you feel you re somewhere special.
The Meadfoot Bay has 15 rooms in total comprising four different room types: Suites Deluxe Superior and Standard located on one of three floors (please note we don t have a lift here at Meadfoot Bay). Naturally all rooms are ensuite with fresh linen and fluffy towels provided as well as complimentary toiletries a hairdryer and a mini fridge within which you ll find complimentary fresh milk and chilled water throughout your stay. Free WiFi is available in every bedroom as is a Freeview Flat screen TV. In Superior and Deluxe rooms as well as Suites guests also benefit from bathrobes and slippers. In Suites the facilities are further enhanced with espresso machines and iPod docks.
The award-winning breakfast is a much talked about feature of a stay at The Meadfoot Bay with an emphasis on fresh locally sourced produce. An extensive menu of cooked to order dishes compliments the many homemade items on offer at the breakfast buffet such as chef s granola and muesli accompanied by fresh made coulis. Homebaked hand carved ham is also another feature of the menu.
In the evenings guests can not only enjoy a convivial drink at the comfortable bar but also take advantage of a bar menu which includes delicious sharing platters hot plates such as Devon Rarebit as well a range of freshly made sandwiches.
