If you are looking for somewhere to rest and unwind following a day out exploring the beautiful Torbay area then our Victorian Villa Guest House could be just what you are looking for.
The Morley Guest House was built around 1871 by wealthy land owners the Cary family and was originally constructed for the use of Tall Ship Captains while they were visiting Torquay as were many of the villas in Bridge Road. During the First World War some of the properties were used by the Red Cross as convalescent homes for injured service personnel from the front line. These properties can be identified by a Cross on the rear Gable End near the Apex.
The Morley is located in a quiet tree lined street just a 10 minute walk from the town centre and sea front. Excellent public transport links are located nearby for travel throughout Torquay and the English Riviera.
If you would like us to collect you from either Torquay Coach or Train station then please call to check availability.
The Morley is open all year round and boasts 7 en-suite rooms two on the ground floor and five on the first floor (with only one flight of stairs) ranging from Single Double or Family rooms.
Breakfast is served daily between 08.30 and 09.30 and is prepared using fresh local ingredients. Please advise us of any allergies or dietary requirements at time of booking.
We look forward to welcoming you soon for what we hope will be the first of many visits. Please be aware that we will not cater for bookings from single sex groups such as Hens or Stags.
