They say that age is just a number well that number in question is 825 A.D. - that equates to almost 1 200 years of history not under the same roof of course!
Currently (and possibly) the oldest inn in the country and right in the heart of Devon The Cridford is steeped in history and charm that makes this a destination venue right off the bat! To back-up that charm an offering of over 100 gins two restaurant areas accommodation in quirky rooms and holiday cottages then this inn really has it all. Since new ownership in 2016 the team have changed with chef Bill Keera in the kitchen who is Michelin trained. But don t be put off by the word Michelin - quite often it can conjure up connotations of small portions and fancy swirls of sauce. What you will get from Bill and his team is all the quality and flavour that local produce can provide but with aportion size that will satisfy!
Despite it s seemingly remote location the inn is only 8 miles from the centre of Exeter.
Open 7 days a week and with special monthly theme nights pie & a pint every Tuesday for just ?10 and a served Sunday roast available all day the pub is truly the hub of Trusham village.
The whole package is something of an experience but with such close proximity to Exeter s shopping and the motorway this little gem is going to be rediscovered all over again.
