Our breakfasts are highly recommended by all who stay with us made with local produce we achieved an AA Breakfast Award for 2019. This coveted award is only presented to establishments serving breakfasts using fresh local ingredients that exceed the quality requirements of a 4 star rating. Breakfasts include Traditional Full English with delicious local sausages bacon and free range eggs with Vegetarian and Vegan options Scrambled eggs & smoked salmon on toasted muffins Devonshire Hog & Hen American (bacon & eggs with homemade cinnamon pancakes and maple syrup) Continental and many other lighter options. Gluten free and lactose free options are available on request.
Merritt House is less than five minutes level walk to the bus mainline and steam railway stations in a quiet street off the main roads and is on the South West Coast Path. Enjoy the Paignton to Dartmouth steam railway fishing trips bay cruises local golf courses swimming pool/fitness centre local blue flag beaches outdoor tennis courts and local restaurants/pubs. Walkers cyclists diving and sailing enthusiasts are welcome to take advantage of our drying room for boots and other wet gear.
