Free wi-fi throughout the hotel. All of our guest rooms are en-suite with plasma screen TV with Freeview built in USB ports complimentary bottled water tea & coffee making facilities. Our rooms are doubles twins and family rooms. We serve breakfast from 7am until noon and our full food menu until 11pm daily. We provide a 24 hour reception desk. A superb historic building in the middle of the city centre. Situated in the centre of Dunfermline The Guildhall & Linen Exchange (built during 1805 1811 by Archibald Elliot as a guildhall and linen exchange) had its foundation stone laid in 1807 yet the money ran out before the building was completed. The eye-catching spire was paid for by public subscription and erected in 1811. Five years later the premises were converted into the Spire Inn and in 1845 became the county buildings including the sheriff s court police station and eventually the job centre in 1993. J D Wetherspoon refurbished this in 2012. . Its symmetrical classical design and 42-metre spire make it a local landmark. DIRECTIONS - BY CAR Exit the M90 at junction 3. From the north at the roundabout take the fourth exit onto A907. From the south at the roundabout take the second exit onto A907. At the roundabout take the second exit and continue on Halbeath Road. At the roundabout take the second exit onto East Port. East Port turns left and becomes New Row. Continue down the hill to find the pay-and-display car park available on the left-hand side usually costing around ?4 for 24hrs. On foot walk back to car park entrance and turn right. Walk up the hill and turn left at the pedestrian crossing. The hotel is located approx 100m along the High Street on your left. BY BUS Turn left out of the bus station then right onto Cross Wynd. At the bottom of the hill turn left onto the High Street the hotel is opposite you on the right. BY RAIL Alight from the train at Dunfermline Town Station. Head west toward St Margarets Dr/A823. Turn right toward West Drive. Turn right onto West Drive. Turn left onto Park Avenue. Turn right onto New Row. Turn left onto High Street. The hotel is 100m on your left.
