The Peveril of the Peak is a great base from which to explore the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District National Park. During your visit you can relax in our comfortable lounge enjoy a drink in our bar or enjoy the views from our terrace and gardens. This splendid location is particularly popular with walkers and outdoor enthusiasts. There are superb walks right on our doorstep we re less than a mile from the famous stepping stones at the entrance to the dramatic limestone gorge of Dovedale with the iconic hill of Thorpe Cloud towering above. For cyclists the popular Tissington Trail is just a few minutes ride away. W e have a well equipped boot and drying room and an excellent selection of maps guidebooks and walk directions which guests can borrow. Communal dining at fixed dinner times.
