Glendale Guesthouse is a very beautiful and extremely spacious Victorian built town house constructed from traditional Cumbrian Red Sandstone built in the mid 1800 s around 1850. Our delightful Victorian property still retains many of its original features with high ceilings & large windows delivering tranquil views both to the rear over the delightful & peaceful Church Grounds and to the front over the perfectly maintained Penrith Coronation Gardens. Glendale Guesthouse is ideally situated in a very attractive location on Portland Place very close to the town centre. Located within very easy walking distance to the town centre where an abundance of shops deliver a good mix of high street shops equally combined with bespoke independent & speciality shops too. The town centre also delivers a good mix of eating places from fine restaurants to easy eating with pubs & cafes as well as bistros pizzeria s & salsa bars too your sure to find somewhere to meet your tastes.
We are centrally located to the Northern Lake District & the North Pennies & the Eden Valley. As well as being close to the M6 giving the easy option for a great overnight stay helping to break-up those longer journey s. Penrith is also on the Coast-to-Coast (C2C) Cycle route and at Glendale Guesthouse warmly welcome cyclists.
We have a secure walled & gated rear garden with a Asgard secure bike storage unit. There is a vast array of wonderful activities to enjoy within a short bus or car drive from Penrith these include some breath-taking scenic walks as well as golf shooting & archery through to water sports quad biking & paragliding too.
