Chinese Description
Dojo serves the most popular noodles found on the street vendors in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and China.
Opened in 1998 as the first noodle bar in Cambridge, Dojo remains as a thriving independent noodle bar and has a strong reputation for serving quality noodles.
Their promise to customers is, "To serve great tasting street noodles, in generous portions, using high quality ingredients and outstandingly fresh produce, giving our customers exceptional value for money, each and every time."
Dojo sources the freshest meat & veg on a daily basis and prepares their stocks, soups and sauces fresh every day. Furthermore, Dojo adopts a MSF-free cooking policy ensuring healthy cooking for their customers.
For vegans, Dojo goes the extra mile, by using an exclusive "vegan wok" used for the cooking of vegan dishes only. For gluten-free diets, Dojo uses gluten-free premium Kikkoman soya sauce as a substitute.
For desserts, Dojo offers critically acclaimed ice creams from Alder Tree, a premium handmade ice cream boutique based in East Anglia.
Dojo's interior, whilst compact, is elegantly contemporary with hints of Chinoiserie design and rococo elements. The main feature of the restaurant is the stunning hand painted wallpaper by local artist Debbie Plaskett illustrating vistas of songbirds and fauna in an Oriental garden. Dojo's design is a bold and radical departure from the copycat generic noodle bar look found elsewhere of white minimalism with hints of artificial beechwood.
From spring onwards, Dojo offers al fresco dining, perfect for a hot summer's evening.
For take outs, Dojo offers a 10% off eat-in prices.
Overall, Dojo difference lies in its
- generous portions of noodles and cuttings of meat/seafood
- uncompromising passion for quality,
- exceptional value for money
