Appletree Cottages offers tranquil bed and breakfast and/or self-catered accommodation to a high standard. Our charming property is found in Barton Mills a delightful location to unwind and is excellently located equidistant to Newmarket Bury St Edmunds Thetford and Ely. With our comfortable accommodations and convenient position we are a suitable base for exploring this part of Suffolk. We have two delightful cottages on offer Appletree Cottage and Bell Cottage. In Appletree Cottage you can stay in our double room and/or family room both have their own private bathroom and shared facilities including kitchen and dining and living area. In Bell Cottage you can stay in either of our two double rooms. This cottage also has shared facilities boasting a spacious living room kitchen/dining room bathroom including bath and shower and lovely outdoor patio. /p Appletree Studio is a self-contained accommodation with its own kitchen area including built in cooker microwave fridge washing machine and ironing facilities. A light airy new build the studio is open plan and boasts underfloor heating. The bathroom includes a walk in shower whilst the sleeping area includes a double bed and sofa bed. All units come with free Wi-Fi TV and DVD. For dining needs you can request for breakfast baskets and lunchtime and picnic hampers. /p Appletree Cottages is located on the edge of the beautiful Thetford Forest well known for its wildlife walks and off-road cycling. The beautiful town of Bury St. Edmunds with its Georgian Theatre Royal and marvellous cathedral is a 20-minute drive whilst the ancient market town of Newmarket well known for horses horse-racing and annual Newmarket Nights open-air concerts is just 15 minutes away by car. A little further on you have Cambridge and Norwich both only less than an hour away from the hotel. Newmarket train station is nine miles away. /p Breakfast can be provided upon request. Our Continental Basket includes fresh rolls and pastries meats and cheeses fruit juices preserves and butter. Our Traditional Basket includes fresh bread fruit juices locally sourced eggs bacon and sausage tomatoes and mushrooms. The cost of breakfast is ?6 per person.
