Woolpit sits just off the A14 making it a perfect base to explore the beautiful Suffolk countryside. The village has much to offer - the Church of St Mary s with its magnificient double hammer beam roof makes it one of the finest village churches in the whole of East Anglia. The museum at The Institute tells the historic story of the Green Children of Woolpit. There are also a number of small shops including a traditional tea rooms and bakers. The historic market town of Bury St Edmunds with its stunning Cathedral Abbey ruins and restored Regency Theatre Royal is just a 10 min drive to the west. The town of Stowmarket lies approx. 10 mins to the east with a train station that links direct to London.
