If you will be arriving after 5pm, please arrange check-in with us beforehand. If you wish to check in before 2pm, we may be able to arrange this, but there will be a charge equivalent to one night's stay. Please let us know when booking. Check-out is strictly by 10am on your departure date. A later check-out time may be possible, but we cannot guarantee this and will be subject to a charge equivalent to one night's stay. Please advise us when booking. Your Room (all en-suite) Each room has been individually designed, but all offer the same high level of comfort. Each room comprises en-suite bathroom with eco-friendly shower; kitchenette with fridge and microwave; flat screen television with built-in DVD player and freeview; and complimentary unlimited broadband. The executive single rooms have larger beds and larger shower rooms, and the executive double rooms are more spacious, with larger double beds and sitting areas with comfortable sofas. All our executive double rooms have lovely views of the front lawn, overlooking beautiful rolling countryside. Each room has its own allocated parking space in our secure car park. Your Apartment Carylls has two fully-furnished self-catering apartments available for weekly stays. Each apartment is suitable for two adults and one child. The Gun House has a double bedroom, a kitchen, a sitting area and an en-suite eco-friendly shower room. The Log Store has a double bedroom, a sitting area with open-plan kitchen, and an eco-friendly shower room. Each apartment has its own allocated parking space. Our unique self-catering accommodation Carylls gives you the freedom to cater for yourself as often or as little as you wish. All our en-suite guest rooms have a kitchenette, complete with fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery; and on your arrival, we provide you with a hospitality tray with tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Our unique self-catering facilities mean you don't have any bar or restaurant bills to pay. Apart from our in-room kitchenette facilities, we have a further 2 communal fully-equipped kitchens with ovens and hobs for your use. We also have on-site laundry facilities, with coin-operated washing machine and dryer; iron and ironing-board are also provided. In addition, there are picnic areas within our landscaped gardens. For your convenience All our guest rooms include bed linen, towels, and weekly maid service. The kitchenettes are equipped with crockery and cutlery, and hot water is available 24 hours per day. Carylls also boasts a magnificent lounge, with huge open fireplaces, luxurious leather sofas and beautiful carved oak panelling, as well as a cosy snug, and our guests are free to relax in these wonderful rooms at any time. Our 5 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens provide a children's play area, as well as cedar picnic tables, shaded by umbrellas. On-site management Carylls has on-site management, with the manager available during office hours. Pets We regret that we are unable to cater for pets. However, we do have Ethel (our house cat), William (the manager's cat), and Sydney, our adorable golden retriever. Where We Are Carylls is centrally located in the peaceful village of Faygate in the heart of the Arun Valley, yet is only 3 miles from the major towns of Crawley & Horsham. London is only one hour away by train, and the south coast can be reached in 40 minutes by car. Faygate is just 7 miles from Gatwick Airport, and close to the commuter routes of the M23 and M25. Faygate also has its own railway station, providing links to London Victoria, Brighton, London Bridge, Southampton, Portsmouth and Bognor Regis. Buses run frequently to Crawley and Horsham from Faygate. Visitor Information Carylls Country House is in the heart of beautiful, peaceful countryside. Directly opposite Carylls is Ifield Woods, where you can have a lovely walk through the fields and woodland. There is so much wildlife to see here- deer, rabbits, pheasant, and so on. The woods are very popular amongst the locals. Carylls Country House is only 3 miles away from Horsham, a historic market town in the heart of West Sussex. Horsham, with its rich history and architectural heritage, has a lovely town centre, with pavement cafés, award-winning floral displays, markets, and a perfect blend of specialist shops and famous names. Carylls Country House is a wonderful base from which to start exploring Horsham and the South East. Around the glorious local countryside, there is a wealth of fascinating and beautiful places to discover, from medieval churches and picturesque villages, to thriving, award-winning towns, beautiful historic houses and gardens, and a host of leisure opportunities. Dover, Newhaven and the Channel Tunnel are all within easy reach by road, enabling access to France in less than 4 hours! And at the weekend, be sure to take the horse and carriage ride that runs between the local pubs and inns in the area! How to Find Us By Road 1. From London, follow the M23 towards Brighton. From the south, follow the A23 towards Pease Pottage. 2. At Junction 11, exit towards Horsham A264. 3. Once on the A264 go straight over the first roundabout, continuing to follow the A264. 4. At the next roundabout, turn left, continuing to follow the A264. 5. After approximately 3 miles, turn right at the roundabout into Faygate. 6. Continue straight over the mini roundabout, over the railway bridge past the station, and continue for one mile. The sign for Carylls will be found on the left. By Rail Faygate Railway Station is located ½ a mile down the road from Carylls. Please check the National Rail website for train times and fares. Services run from London Victoria and Horsham/Arundel. Carylls 5 Acre Gardens Carylls boasts 5 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens with picnic areas and outstanding views of the countryside towards the Arun Valley. It is a beautiful and peaceful spot with 500 year old mature oak trees, rolling lawns, areas of wild flowers, created to attract butterflies, bees and grasshoppers. Carylls is a haven for wildlife. The more formal lawns provide children's play areas, a picnic area with cedar picnic tables shaded by umbrellas. There are plenty of spaces and quiet corners to read a book or snooze, taking some precious peaceful "me" time to charge the batteries. At the weekends, it is possible to take a horse and carriage ride between several of the local Pubs and Inns in the locality. They run a "hop on hop off" service. Sunday Lunch is a real "Blow out" at the Gate, Lamb and Holmbush Inn, just to name the 3 nearest pubs to Carylls. Set in the Arun valley, the house stands in the middle of the 5 acre plot which is surrounded by pasture and farmland with views of the Surrey Hills to the East. There are several bridle paths locally for country walks. Please note We aim to give our guests the best value for money possible. Many of our customers have told us that they prefer to bring toiletries of their own choice, so we don't provide these items. As Carylls is a country house, our broadband (available for you to use at no extra charge), can be intermittent sometimes. Fibre Optic hasn't quite reached our little village yet! IMPORTANT - Our Cancellation Policy If for any reason you need to cancel your booking more than 7 days before your arrival date, a charge equivalent to one night's accommodation will be made, and charged to your credit card. Bookings cancelled within 7 days of the arrival date will be charged in full, with no refund.
