This is a "Proper Pub" as one of our many regulars will attest. Set in a quiet village street, on Heighton Hill, at a gateway to the South Downs National Park. We are open from 12 midday until 11.30PM every day except Monday when we open at 4PM. These hours are likely to be extended in the very near future as Kim and Tessa are the new incoming Tenants, from 27 October 2015, replacing Michaela and Dave who have done a wonderful job of reviving the Pub over the last 6 years. Tessa, who has worked here for the past 5 years, looks forward to inviting you in to sample our hospitality.

We keep Harveys Best (www.harveys.org.uk) and always at least one other Real Ale, Bottled Beers including Gluten Free, Lagers, Draught and bottled Ciders, Soft Drinks, Tea and Coffee, Wines and Spirits. Food is currently available 12.30 - 3 including Sunday Roasts (booking ahead advisable). Bar snacks are available on demand. Kitchen hours will be extended once we have settled in.

We have a large Beer Garden, covered Smoking Shelter, Pool Table, Darts Board, Toads (look it up), Juke Box with 'millions' of records, Live Music most Friday Nights @9PM (Rock/Blues/Folk and more), Jam Nights, Silly Nights, Silly Customers, Silly Landlord/Lady, Bonfire Night (7th November) (www.southheighton.org/) and anything else we can dream up.
