The Royal Hotel has undergone a huge refurbishment and feedback has been excellent! See the photos showing the gorgeous bar area and the beautifully refurbished bedrooms and new bathrooms in place. The Royal hotel is the closest hotel to BAE and the harbour area in Barrow in Furness. The hotel has a huge history with Winston Churchill having stayed here. This hotel is one of the most popular in the area and since reopening has already started to build up a very loyal following. Barrow-in-Furness town centre is just 5 minutes away from the hotel and it is close to South Lakes Wildlife Park Furness Abbey Piel Island and other tourist attractions as well as being the ideal base to explore the Lake District. /P The Hotel itself has 25 en-suite well appointed bedrooms with a mix of singles twins doubles and a family room. Each room has a flat screen TV with SKY TV channels and wifi internet access which is free of charge. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge. We do have cots available with a maximum capacity of 1 per room. Any extra bedding is upon request and needs to be confirmed by the hotel. /P A choice of a continental breakfast or a freshly cooked English breakfast which is free of charge is served in the restaurant between 7am and 9am on weekdays and between 8am and 10am at weekends and on Bank Holidays. All of our rooms are No Smoking along with public areas. Express Check-In and check out is available. The Hotel has a bar residents lounge and 24-Hour Front Desk our check-in time is from 2pm and check out is by 11am. /P We serve evening meals between 5pm and 9pm every evening during the week and also have a large state of the art screen showing Sky sports and BT Sports football matches through the year plus an extensive bar and a pool table. /P We are one of the few hotels in Barrow in Furness that has a large beer garden where you can enjoy the evening sun. /P Street parking is available outside the hotel for free.
