David & Caroline invite you to Millwood Lodge our home where we have been welcoming the company of guests since 2002.

Millwood Lodge Bed and Breakfast is a quaint grade 2 listed building. The Lodge is comfortable with a contemporary cottage style atmosphere situated in a Hamlet surrounded by beautiful scenery wildlife and woodland walks easily accessible to the surrounding country pubs main shopping areas and attactions of the victorian town of Barrow in Furness the small historic town of Dalton in Furness and the Lake District.

There are many attractions and places to eat for all the family and those on business trips who wish to take some time out see our links page. We are seven minutes walk to Furness Abbey a five minute drive away is the local beach of Roanhead with beautiful views looking over the Duddon Estuary and the Lake District as a backdrop. All rooms are en-suite and have WIFI access.

Additionally Dalton Wild Animal Park the Laurel & Hardy Museum Ulverston The Dock Museum Barrow offer diverse entertainment for the family.

Local transport is within walking distance Barrow Railway station is 2.5 miles away from Millwood Lodge and Dalton Station 2 miles. Furness General Hospital is half a mile away.

The guest sitting room is relaxing comfortable and cosy overlooking gardens to the front it has a large flat screen tv and a variety of reading material.

For those with an artistic interest you may enjoy viewing the contemporary artwork by Caroline which as you can see by the small painting in the hearth can sometimes be a little unusual.
