Located in the beautiful countryside of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and nestled between the ancient site of Bolton Castle and the astounding natural wonder of Aysgarth Falls the Wheatsheaf Inn offers relaxing accommodation for walkers tourists and visitors of the Yorkshire Dales. In 1941 James Herriot and his wife Helen spent their honeymoon at the Wheatsheaf. In his book he describes how much they enjoyed the warm hospitality and excellent food. This is a tradition that we keep very much alive today with real ales good food and log fires. Whether for a romantic getaway a resting place on a walking holiday or for a special occasion the Wheatsheaf will offer you a personal service and enjoyable stay. We welcome dogs to the Wheatsheaf in the bar and have a number of dog-friendly. We also have pet free rooms available.
