I bought this camera just over a month ago and used it a lot whilst on holiday recently in Egypt. At first I found it a little awkward to use due to its compact nature and my largish hands. My right thumb strayed over the controls and usually changed them. However, as I became familiar with the camera these problems disappeared and I enjoyed using it. The results were very pleasing too. Its small size and light weight means that it is very convenient to carry around. The viewfinder is a joy to use. Quite the best electronic viewfinder I have used. Its attachment to the camera could be a little more secure since it could be dislodged quite easily if accidentally knocked. It certainly comes into its own when bright sunlight obscures the screen.I have not, as yet, seriously tried the video function but on my slight acquaintance to date, it seems to perform satisfactorily. My only disappointment to date is battery life. Olympus claim that a fully charged battery is good for 200-220 photos. I took about 500 photos whilst on holiday and was obliged to recharge the battery every third day,(5 times in 15 days). Moreover the battery seems to expire with little warning. Fortunately I had bought a spare battery and would strongly recommend anyone buying this camera to do likewise. The battery in my Nikon D300 lasts much, much longer. I must add that I took only about a dozen photos using flash. All in all it is an ingenious piece of kit for which Olympus are to be congratulated.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super "Immermitdabeikamera"

4.0 out of 5 stars Olympus Pen EP2 mit Pancake und EVF
Reviewed in Germany on 20 October 2010
