Grandmas from Mars Hardcover – Picture Book, 5 April 2018
Fred and Nell's grandma is babysitting and the kids couldn't be happier. But hang on, there's something not quite right about her. In fact, she's acting very strangely indeed. And is that a spare eyeball? A tail? A striped tongue? That's NOT their grandma; it's an alien ... RUUUUUUN!
Find out how Fred and Nell overcome the invasion by grandmas from Mars (and get their own grandma back!) in this completely crazy and brilliantly bonkers, fun and irreverent picture book from the talented Michelle Robinson, with illustrations by rising star Fred Blunt.

Humour has always been top of Fred’s list when it comes to drawing. Right from those early (rather unflattering) portraits of teachers, Fred knew he wanted to entertain with his work. Now writing and illustrating his own, very silly picture books – Fred couldn’t be happier.
Author/Illustrator Fred has illustrated dozens of books, as well as writing his own - including:
Lionel the Lonely Monster (Oxford University Press)
Gnome (Andersen Press) ** Winner of the ELS InSPIREAD Picture Book Award 2020 **
Santa Claus V The Easter Bunny (Andersen Press)
Captain Falsebeard Series (Puffin)
In addition, he has collaborated with some of the best authors of the moment;
Kes Gray 'The Diddle That Dummed' (Hachette Children's)
Huw Lewis Jones 'A Quokka for the Queen' (Happy Yak)
Will Mabbitt 'This is Not A Bedtime Story' series (Puffin)
Michelle Robinson 'The Forgetful Knight' (Dial USA) &
'Grandmas from Mars' (Bloomsbury)
Julia Jarman 'Fussy Freda' (Hodder)
Peter Bently 'Knightmare' fiction series (Stripes).
Clients include: Penguin Random House, Andersen Press, Hachette Children's, Bloomsbury, MacMillan, Dial USA, Little Tiger Press, Usborne, Simon & Schuster USA, BBC…and many more.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 February 2022Very amusing for any small children with a cheeky streak (pretty much all of them).
Fred and Nell are left with their 'Grandma' when their parents go out to a meeting. But wait!! All the Grandmas have been replaced by Martians!!!!!
Can the kids of the world come up with a plan to thwart the green nasties?!
A very catchy rhyming story, the pictures are hilarious, with green skins, wigs and handbags.
A fab ending too, lots of giggles to be had throughout.
One they'll want at bedtime over and over.
For ages 2-6.

5.0 out of 5 stars My 7 year old loves it!!
My 7 year old saw this book on YouTube and she inmediately asked me to get it for her. Needless to say, this has become one of her favorite books and I'm thrilled to see her reading it over and over again. Whatever encourages mh daughter to read and develop a love for reading is a great buy for me.
