- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 December 2019I have 2 of these monitors set up on my desk using a desk clamp mount thing and it's awesome, the monitor is really good, very very very good for editing photos and videos!
The colours are incredible, much better than I thought they would be before buying them.
Highly recommend this monitor to anyone thinking of getting a monitor, low prices and high quality!!!!
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 June 2020This is a top LED Monitor, have tried it on the PS4, PC & CCTV poe system and the results were astounding , great picture quality as it doesn't looses the colour quality and also great response time whilst playing on the PS4. i would recommend this LeD Monitor to others.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 24 June 2018TL;DR: When all is said and done, I am happy with this monitor. I have never had an IPS monitor before so maybe the excitement of richer colours is what makes this purchase for me. It is 24 inches, 1080p. Has speakers and can be overclocked to 75Hz (using Nvidia control panel). That's generous at this price range. There are some hoops to jump through (detailed below) to fix light bleed through blacks, and yellowish whites, but it only has to be done once. Then you're set. A small price to pay for a monitor of this quality at this price range.
Full Review:
I bought this as Like New from the Amazon Warehouse in order to save some money. It came the next day (through Prime) and really did come as Like New. The bags the cables came in were opened but the monitor still had the film on. Excellent service from Amazon.
In order to be realistic about the quality of this monitor, I did some research on the types of monitors you can get (I'm not an expert so some of the information may not be entirely accurate):
TN - Fast refresh rate and response time. Flat colours and bad viewing angles. Mostly used for Gaming.
IPS - Broader colour range, with more realistic colours, and great viewing angles. Average response time and refresh rate. Mostly used for anything that requires visual fidelity (watching documentaries or working on Art).
VA - Doesn't suffer from the problems of IPS (most notably light bleed) whilst still retaining good colours and viewing angles. However, suffers with slow response time.
So what would be the best type of monitor to get overall? I believe it would be a VA panel with a fast response time and high refresh rate. That way you get great colours, viewing angles, and gaming refresh and response without any of the issues that IPS suffers with. I found a monitor that meets this specification. It costs £250: Samsung LC24FG73FQUXEN 24-Inch FHD 1920 x 1080 Curved Gaming Monitor - Dark Blue/Black Matt
This AOC monitor has an IPS panel and costs £130. So, you have to be realistic with what you want and how much your budget is. This is a great budget IPS monitor. Don't expect the best visual experience at this price range. A truly professional grade IPS monitor starts around £200 (BenQ BL2420PT 24 inch QHD Designer Monitor (1440p, 100% sRGB, Rec 709, Height Adjustment, CAD/CAM and Animation Mode, VGA/DVI-DL/DP1.2/HDMI) - Black) but top tier content creators would probably still say £200 is too low for a truly professional grade IPS monitor.
One minor issue was the panel actually popped out the bezel after I had tilted the screen (for viewing in bed). It was easy to pop back in. With bezels this small, I'm not surprised. Maybe this is me being generous towards the makers but we have to be realistic. You can't have super thin bezels and have the panel completely clamped into place, not at this price range anyway.
The biggest downfalls of this monitor are the light bleeding through the blacks and the yellowish tint on the whites. However, I did find some fixes. Details are as follows:
When I first plugged it into my computer, via HDMI, it looked terrible. This was due to my Graphics Card drivers believing it was still my old monitor. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers. This worked perfectly.
I then fiddled with the settings. It was hard to choose the right ones. I did settle on something and then decided to let my eyes get used to it. This is a different monitor and will, naturally, look different. My old monitor has a slight purple tint on the whites. This monitor has a slight yellow tint on the whites. Also, I don't like to have the monitor too bright. Of course, this is all personal preference but it may take some fiddling to get the setting right for you.
So, I thought I was all done. However, when playing games, I would notice insane light bleed (mostly through the blacks). I did some Googling and came across this article: https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/966561/finally-a-fix-for-the-games-changing-the-color-profiles-/
Turns out the game was changing the colour profiles. This fix worked for me. If you're using a PS4 then make sure to go to Display Settings and set the Colour Range to Full instead of Limited. This fixed the light bleed on console. I can't speak for Xbox as I don't own one.
If you aren't convinced about buying an IPS monitor, and want to check out a different panel type, then here are my low budget suggestions for the alternatives:
- If you want a good, low budget TN panel for gaming, I suggest: Acer GN246HLB 24-inch Full HD Monitor (TN panel, 144Hz, 1ms, HDMI, DVI)
- I have a low budget VA panel from BenQ that is great. This one is similar: BenQ GC2870H 28 inch VA LED Eye-care Monitor, Flicker Free, Low Blue Light, HDMI
- Otherwise, this AOC monitor is a great budget IPS panel. Don't expect to get top tier quality at this price range.
I hope you found my review helpful. I know spending money on technology can be difficult. I spent a lot of time researching so it has been enjoyable to write out my thoughts on this monitor. Good Luck. I hope you find the monitor for you, even if it isn't this one.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 March 2019Nice little cheap monitor, took awhile to adjust colour to my liking and after that I tried to overclock it to 75hz and was pleasantly surprised that it works and is perfectly stable at it.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 November 2020Bought to replace a very old monitor and match (as close as possible) to the second monitor which is also AOC. Love the almost borderless style of these screens. Easier to clean and when using a document covering both screens, little is lost.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 February 2019For the price, this monitor has ticked all the boxes, its perhaps a little heavy on the blue which can easily be adjusted out.
I actually cant really fault it at all, apart from the truly terrible audio that comes out of the thing. I hadn't purchased this for audio but if anyone is, really, stop and look away.
im actually considering buying a second one.
Picture quality is fine for 1080p monitor, there is a little light bleed but is only noticeable on black screen.
havent tried the freesync but as soon as nvidia enables the compatibility with their cards ill give it a shot.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 18 February 2019I bought this to replace an older £120 AOC Monitor which was unfortunately irreparably damaged during transport from an event. The display on here is nice, I play a lot of Simulator games and watch a lot of media and the 60Hz 1080P IPS Panel does this well for the price with vibrant colours and great viewing angles. The minimal bezels also give the monitor a very premium look at the front.
However, that is about all that is positive. There is a standard power cord and both a HDMI and VGA cable in the box. The power socket on the rear of the monitor is very difficult. It faces downwards making it awkward to reach when trying to plug in from the front. The power connection is also dodgy. The cable has to be pushed in quite hard and at just the right angle to actually provide power to the monitor. This is not just the cable in the box, neither, I have tried others. I also do not believe this to be an isolated problem because the AOC Monitor this one replaces was around the same price and had a similar display panel, and that monitor also had a loose connection to its power chord.
Then there is the overall build quality. Most of the monitor casing is made of cheap plastic. I don't mind this when done well, but the silver strip of plastic along the bottom of the display is barely held in place. The single control mini-joystick is cheap plastic and does not always turn off immediately. Finally, the monitor stand is well balanced and solid, which is great, because the monitor in my case only hangs on the stand. The lower clips do not actually secure into the back of my monitor, leaving the monitor only loosely held in place and me feeling fairly paranoid about any knocks or moves.
The last actual feature to mention are the on-board speakers. Yes, it has built-in speakers. No, you should not use them if you can avoid it. The two speakers are located on the lower back of the monitor and are rear firing. They have no base, and are extremely tinny. They are also very quiet, I cannot hear them over normal talking volume in the room. I definitely recommend a separate speaker set-up, they do not have to be expensive.
The packaging was fine. It arrived in a cardboard box covered in AOC branding. Inside, the panel was sandwiched in a gap between two tightly packed blocks of Styrofoam . On top of the Styrofoam, the other included accessories were in their own grooves. The package arrived on top, the product was well protected and the packaging was not flashy, but not disappointing neither.
I must point out that some, if not all, of the above issues may be unique to my unit. This is a good 24" IPS Panel on a budget which is great for light to medium media consumption and simulation games. Its speakers are awful, but usable in a pinch. I give it 3/5 stars, and say you should consider it on a budget, but don't rush out and buy/ order it. If you own an older budget AOC monitor, beware this is not as sturdy in my experience as even the four year old monitor it replaced for me. You probably won't regret this purchase if you do choose to buy it, however.

5.0 out of 5 stars Me encanta!
P.d. Tiene modos low blue light y no tiene parpadeo alguno.

5.0 out of 5 stars Prima monitor!

4.0 out of 5 stars pas de cable displayport

4.0 out of 5 stars Great value office monitor that looks good
AOC user for years, don’t cost that much and just are stunning.
I use them for all of our Macs as screen or sevond screen
