- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 31 July 2017This is an awesome book, and has saved my sanity more than once. If you like codeword puzzles, keep this book and two recently-working biros by the door, and every time you leave the house when you might be going somewhere other than the local shops, put them in your bag. They don’t take up much room, and they may save your sanity. I’ve been relieved to have them more than once when I’ve been stuck on trains.
Good points:
1) Compact,
2) Genuinely good puzzles,
3) Not too many re-used words,
4) Enough space to neatly write in your conclusions,
5) There were occasional words that I had to look up in the dictionary after solving the puzzle, (because it was obvious that the word fitted in.) So my vocabulary has actually slightly increased because of this puzzle book.
Bad points:
1) All puzzles are the same difficulty. I would have preferred different difficulties, especially harder ones. After a certain point, your brain becomes temporarily “trained” into a certain mindset, and the puzzles become much easier to solve. I would love to see a sequel to this book, that contains Easy, Tricky, Genuinely Difficult, and Nightmarish codeword puzzles. I would buy at least three copies in a heartbeat .
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 April 2019Bought this as a gift for my wife as we had recently visited Bletchley Park and she likes logic puzzles. Print is very clear and the puzzles have all been very well written so far. Costs a bit more than a normal logic puzzle book but that is to be expected with the Bletchley Park branding.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 March 2016Only done a couple so far, but they seem reasonably hard.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 December 2022I was delighted with this logic puzzle book. Keeps the old mind ticking over.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 May 2016Bought for my mum who is a avid codeworder, she is greatly impressed! Says they are challenging and the words make sense, she has had some in the past with really obscure words in them that we have had to google just to check they were real words!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thought Went Into Creating These Puzzles
I am a huge fan of logic puzzles, but over the years, some of them have become computer-generated and don't work well. These do. The purpose of a logic puzzle is that you should be able to eventually figure everything out THROUGH LOGIC--NO GUESSING required. Computer-generated versions don't always take that into consideration in their creation. These were created by actual smart humans, and no guessing is needed--just plenty of brain power, becoming progressively more challenging as you work your way through the book. I just ordered a second--one for me and one for a gift.

I really enjoyed this little puzzle book - it was different than most common puzzles one finds everywhere, and it was challenging enough to intrigue me into sharing it with another family member and buying another one for them.
