Description

The Waggon & Horses is a family owned country pub hotel restaurant in North Essex close to the Suffolk county border half way between Colchester and Cambridge near to Halstead Braintree Sudbury and Haverhill. A good stopping off place for Stansted Airport Constable Country and Hedingham Castle. Colchester Britain s oldest recorded town is only 20 miles away and the University City of Cambridge only 30 miles. The Norman Keep built in 1140 at Castle Hedingham is only 2 miles away.

The Waggon & Horses is a handsome XVIth century inn standing on the main road at Great Yeldham close to the Essex/Suffolk border. We are a freehouse featured in the CAMRA Best Beer Guide.

The restaurant is open every day from 11-9 pm Monday to Saturday 12-7 pm on Sundays. Prices are very reasonable and there are a variety of bar snacks available.

A continental breakfast is included in all room rates
