Friendly and relaxed The Swan is an historic country inn in the village of Fittleworth in the South Downs National Park.
The bar and restaurant are favourite meeting places for locals and visitors alike who enjoy roaring fires in winter and our hidden garden in warmer months.
If you d like to stay in our beautiful corner of Sussex a little longer we have plenty of rooms from which to choose and a wealth of stunning countryside and historic towns to explore on our doorstep.
The Swan dates back to the late 14th century and has been welcoming guests from all walks of life ever since. Today it is a family-run pub offering fine food and drink in a relaxing atmosphere.
The Swan has 12 en-suite rooms located in the main building and four cottage rooms in the old stable block. Many rooms retain original features and are decorated in a traditional style. All rooms offer tea and coffee making facilities. A continental breakfast is included and you can upgrade to a cooked breakfast on arrival. Dogs are welcome to stay in the cottage rooms for an additional ?15 per night.
Our menus change with the seasons and we work closely with our butcher game dealers farmers greengrocers and fishmongers to source quality produce from the surrounding areas.
