Our vision is to establish Fitz2Eat as a Community Cafe which provides high quality catering services in the local community, and which will support the voluntary and community organisations in the fulfilment of their work and offer new opportunities for hosting social gatherings which will benefit the whole area.

There are a number of intended uses for the café and we hope that it will become a hub for use by all members of the community. We will be operating a breakfast club for children between 8 and 9am on weekdays and hope to encourage the use of the premises, mainly in the afternoons for local organisations to meet with members of the community who may feel isolated for the remainder of the week.

The café will assist with regeneration of the local area by providing a vital resource that will strengthen the local community and enrich the lives of local people by providing a focal point for services and activities which meet local needs.

Guest meetings will be encouraged in order to reach out to local residents e.g. benefit advisers, stop smoking sessions and any other groups that wish to do outreach work.

The emphasis will be on the friendly and relaxed environment, to make it welcoming for people to utilise for their needs.

In addition to community work we also intend to promote the use of the café for business meetings, children’s birthday parties as well as being a place where you can just meet for a quiet chat and relax.
