Description

Ideally situated for visiting Northern Ireland s leading tourist destinations Ballylagan Farm is only 15 minutes drive from the magnificent Causeway Coastal Route and less than 25 minutes from Belfast s unforgettable Titanic Quarter. We are also less than 30 minutes from both major airports and seaports and only 2.5 hours from Dublin Airport.

Once here you are immediately captivated by the serenity and beauty of South Antrim s Six Mile Water Valley. Stroll along the farm walk of a summer s evening the peace of which is enhanced by the call of the grebe or moorhen nesting on the farm s old mill dam.

Our Guest House is a recently renovated early 19th century farmhouse - it retains all the character and charm of the original house whilst offering an unsurpassed degree of comfort and modern convenience - all rooms have en suite facilities and Wi-Fi is available throughout. Two of the rooms have wood burning stoves for that special comfort of guests staying in the colder months.

The self catering apartment is adjacent to the Guest House and consists of a sitting/dining room a double bedroom a separate shower room and a small but well equipped kitchen. Guests will always find a small welcome pack of essential foods (organic of course) when they arrive at the apartment. The sitting room has a double sofa bed allowing a maximum of four guests to stay.

Also to be enjoyed on site are the all organic Tea Room and Farm Shop - much of the food we sell is grown here on the farm - this is a working organic farm producing beef lamb pork bacon eggs fruit and vegetables. Several other excellent eateries are a short drive away. Ballylagan Farm provides much of its own energy - we grow our own wood for the wood burning stoves and the majority of the electricity we use is supplied either by our water turbine or our solar panels. The Guest House is heated by an air source heat pump. We also offer bicycles for hire and there is a floodlit bitmac tennis court on site.
